About Us

Michael Young worked in the steel fabrication and engineering industry for over 50 years, being the owner and CEO of his own fabrication companies in New Zealand and Canada. Serving as CEO of Anatomic Iron from 2004 to 2018 he successfully lead the company through extensive growth to where it stands today as one of North America’s leading steel detailing firms.

Clifford Young brings a great deal of expertise in financial management and business strategy to the Anatomic Iron team. Cliff holds a degree in finance and international business from Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He worked on the shop floor as a junior fabricator and in financial management at a large steel fabricator before co-founding Anatomic Iron. Cliff has over 25 years of experience in the field of steel fabrication and erection.

Kerry Young has over 30 years of experience in the steel industry and holds certifications as a certified steel fabricator and fitter, detailer and checker, and past-ticketed all-position CWB welder. He began his steel career on the shop floor as an apprentice welder, worked his way to site foreman and then fabrication plant project management, and finally ran his own fabrication and erection company. Before co-founding Anatomic Iron, he worked as a department manager for a large Canadian steel detailing company.

Kathy brings over 15 years of experience in Company Accounting and Financial Management. She graduated with distinction from the Cracow University of Economics, earning a master’s degree in Accounting and Company Finance. Kathy began her career at Anatomic Iron as an Accountant and steadily progressed through the roles of Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, and Associate CFO, before being appointed Chief Financial Officer. In her current role, Kathy oversees all aspects of company accounting operations and manages our financial relationships with customers.

Keren Khouri has a Master of Business Administration from MIT, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of British Columbia. She brings a wealth of business experience, having worked as a strategy consultant for a market leading consulting firm. She has also held leadership roles in business development in multiple industries including marketing, product development, strategy and customer segmentation.

Dave Pye has worked for over 35 years in the engineering industry, starting in the MEP sector and transitioning to large-scale multi-story structural steel developments. Dave is fully conversant with construction processes from his involvement managing both large and multi discipline developments. Dave’s expertise and experience enables him to communicate with clients across all aspects of the projects, working towards offering the most cost-effective solutions tailored to the client’s specific requirements.

John Cirneci has over 20 years of experience in the steel detailing industry. Starting as a junior detailer, John progressed through all positions including final checker to become a project manager before he joined the Anatomic Iron team. John completed his studies in engineering and speaks three languages. He is extremely proficient in both Tekla structures and SDS2 software platforms and has expertise in U.S. project processes and communication customs.

Jeremy MacFarline holds an associate science degree in architectural and building engineering technology from Vermont Technical College. He has been in the structural steel detailing field for over 18 years and served as the head detailer of structural projects at a small detailing company in Maine before joining Anatomic Iron. Jeremy developed special expertise in Tekla Structures and AutoCad because of his extensive experience detailing entire small projects by himself.

Justine Koprowska has been working in the steel detailing and engineering field for over 20 years. After completing a 5-year degree in structural steel engineering and building technology, Justine started at Anatomic Iron as a modeler, then moved up to junior manager, senior team leader and then project manager. Justine produces and checks connection packages complete with full calculations and is responsible for all aspects of management for her large team.

Andrew Goluszka has been working in the steel detailing and engineering field for over 16 years. After completing a 5-year university degree in structural steel engineering and building technology, he started at Anatomic Iron as a senior modeler and then served as a detailing team manager and project manager. In his detailing career, he has participated in all types of projects from small to large and from heavy industrial to sport and entertainment projects.

Łukasz Dec has over 15 years of experience in the steel detailing field with a degree in structural steel and engineering construction and a minor in computer programming from the Cracow University of Technology. He has steadily advanced at Anatomic Iron from modeling and checking to team leading and project management. Lukasz brings a great deal of expertise to both our project management team and our programming development.

Slawek Kus holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Cracow University of Technology and has worked in the steel detailing industry for 12 years. He started at Anatomic Iron as a preliminary checker and was promoted to team leader and then project manager of our precast concrete detailing department. His team completes any type of concrete structure from precast panels to tilt-up concrete construction projects.
